Disney and the Athenaeum Hotel recently recognised as the Best UK Family Hotel*, have teamed-up to open the first Winnie the Pooh playroom. Packed with loads of Winnie toys, musical instruments, LEGO DUPLO, colouring sets and games all featuring the beloved bear and his friends, the Hundred Acre Wood setting playroom is now open for summer playtime.

ONE of the trickier decisions you face when youre on the road in a strange country is where to eat.
In the past Ive mainly walked round looking for where the locals hang out and followed their example. Its still a reasonable plan but after a visit to France when taking that approach in Avignon resulted in possibly the worst meal Ive ever eaten – Im sure the locals went to that cafe only to drink – Ive been on the look-out for something more.
In Avignon we asked the nice young ladies on reception at our hotel for advice on where to go for dinner and got a couple of fantastic meals as a result. Find more…
