
We were planning on adding High Force Waterfall as this week’s entry to ‘101 places to go’ because it allowed us to make a hilarious joke about April showers (seriously, it was brilliant). But wouldn’t you know, the weather’s been so lovely in the past few days that we’ll have to make do with letting England’s biggest waterfall sell itself.
Located in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the land surrounding High Force is worth a visit, even if you don’t take the tranquil woodland walk to the falls. Below are a couple of our favourite things to see and do.

BIEBER fever hit St Lucia last week as teen sensation Justin holidayed on the Caribbean island for the SECOND time this year.
The Canadian singer spent the New Year there with his rumoured girlfriend, US actress Selena Gomez.
But his latest visit was all about his friends as he messed about on the beach and headed out waterskiing.

Canterbury tourism is to get a $1.6 million boost from the government, Christchurch airport and the council. Prime Minister John Key said the Ministry of Economic Development and airport will provide half of it, with the other half to come from the council. He said the message needs to be sent that Christchurch is open for business. “This is a collaborative approach that is designed to help CCT stabilise its business and operations and rebuild existing tourism and travel activity,” said Key. “Despite the severe impact of the earthquake, CCT has played a vital role in helping Canterbury’s tourism industry to recover, but this would be impossible to continue without additional funding.
