It All Starts With a Ball of Yarn

I admire people that are crafty. It takes a special kind of person to be able to produce an interesting and special artifact from scratch. When I first saw Jennifer Berger’s hand-designed and constructed felted creatures, I was infatuated knowing these unique artifacts began from a simple ball of yarn.

Berger is an Indiana Artisan who is a craft master! Woven Dimensions is the name of Berger’s business that produces knitted and felted ornaments, stockings, dolls, and much more. Each of Berger’s woven creations are specially crafted and unique in different ways. Many of the yarns used to create the fun, felted creatures are constructed with hand-dyed yarns. This fact can show you the time and attention that goes into producing such interesting creatures. There are tons of pictures featured on the Woven Dimensions’ Facebook fan page, in addition to a blog written by Berger that updates readers with new products featured in her line of creatures. I was amazed at the variety of animals made out of yarn. If you don’t live in the Zionsville area or Indiana for that matter, I highly suggest you visit Berger’s blog or to explore all the felted products Berger produces from yarn.

With the holidays right around the corner, would it not be nice to buy mom or dad a woven ornament to hang on this year’s Christmas tree? A great and affordable gift for anyone could be a handcrafted and woven ornament made by Woven Dimensions. Don’t have a Christmas tree? That’s okay- consider a cozie for drinks! Part of Berger’s collection features cozie creatures that are absolutely adorable! Whether you want a cat, horse, gingerbread man, fish, mermaid, or monkey, Woven Dimensions can offer you that and more!

Check out a few images of these hand-designed and constructed felted creatures.
