nature+science=wonderment

The Garden of Cosmic Speculation.

EVER wonder what would be the outcome if science and mathematics were fused with the naturalistic environment of garden?

Welcome to the Garden of Cosmic Speculation – a garden unlike any other in the world.

Designed in 1989 by architect Charles Jencks, and open to the public for only one day a year, the eye-poppingly original Garden of Cosmic Speculation features gardens, bridges, sculptures, and architectural works, and was inspired by mathematics and science. Science and nature blend together in this unique environment, where you could easily come face to face with the most awe-inspiring force in the universe – a black hole.

Located at Portrack House near Dumfries, Scotland, the garden is surrounded by beautiful man-made lakes, wondrous plant life and the mind-bending designs only science could create.
