Qantas, Jetstar flights suspended tomorrow
Qantas and Jetstar flights from three centres will remain grounded tomorrow morning due to the volcanic ash cloud hovering over New Zealand.
The carriers suspended flights from Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown today, and will do the same tomorrow morning as well.
Jetstar says all flights from the centres before 12pm have been cancelled, while Qantas says services to Queenstown are grounded until further notice and
Christchurch and Wellington flights are suspended until 3pm.
Air New Zealand continues to operate as normal.
Civil Aviation says the ash cloud is lying just north of Wellington, and it’s expected to clear by late tomorrow or Saturday.
Volcanic ash from the eruption of Mt Puyehue Cordon Caulle volcano in Chile has caused chaos for some airlines over the past three weeks.
